BIHARI WINS YORK TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE ELECTION

IL: Moin Moon Khan, a journalist, community activist, and motivational speaker, made a history on 5th Apr, 2005 in Illinois, by winning in the York Township Trustee.

 

Republicans of York Township, which never elected a person of color to represent them on the township board, broke away from their own tradition and made a history by electing Khan, who has been recently appointed as Asian American liaison for the Republican Party of DuPage County.

 

Appreciating Khan’s deep commitment to local issues and politics, a large number of ethnic voters also participated in the recently held primary.
